The gates in between
By Rebecca Langston (Wind Diva)
I'm here but no one sees me I am here
yet I am gone.
Unless you understand this... Please leave well enough alone.
I took all that I needed yet left everything behind.
Some saw me as a prophet, yet, some thought I'd lost my mind.
The journey wasn't all in vain
for somewhere on the road;
when coming to that "cross" in it
I sensed my true abode.
Don't think I didn't hear you shout—
"That is the wrong direction!"
—as I fled down the road I knew
lead to my resurrection.
Between the joy and pleasure
and between the pain and hurt
Between the lines of living and
what's under grass and dirt.
Between the sky and earth there is
a "gateway in between"
The place we live as humans
and a long forgotten dream.
It's there that I inherited
"my treasured chest" of gold.
I learned "the jewels of the skies"
were "stories still untold"
I took all that I needed yet left everything behind.
Some saw me as a prophet, yet, some thought I'd lost my mind.
I'm here but no one sees me I am here yet I am gone.
Unless you understand this... Please leave well enough
alone.
